History
        Officially declared a faculty by the Royal Gazette announcement on December 9, 2009, the Faculty of Geoinformatics of Burapha University became the success that it is today from humble beginnings in the year 1974 AD.
        1974: The university’s Faculty of Social Sciences introduced a new department – the Department of Geography.
        1990: Upon becoming Srinakarinwirot University, the university pursued a new policy of producing a greater number of graduates for the fields of science and technology. The organizational structure that ensued resulted in the merging of the Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Department of Geography thus became part of the newly merged faculty.
        2009: The Department of Geography was granted the status of faculty and the corresponding announcement was published in the Royal Gazette on December 9, 2009.

Today the Faculty of Geoinformatics offers:
    • A bachelor of science in two concentrations
        o Geoinformatics
        o Surveying and Urban Planning
    • A master of science in geoinformatics (revised in 2009)
    • A PhD in geoinformatics

Philosophy
        “Applying the science of geoinformatics to cultivate a body of knowledge with virtue and professionalism for the benefit of the community and society as a whole.”

Vision
        “Excellency in integrating geoinformatics studies while meeting internationally accepted standards.”

Duties
1. Supply graduates to cater to labor market demands through continuously improved quality education matching international manufacturing and service sector standards and professional ethics.
2. Augment the quality, potential, ethics and morality of the students.
3. Organize academic services meeting the needs of society and the local community.
4. Promote the distinctive local activities and preserve the national arts and culture.
5. Develop the management process efficiently and effectively.
6. Further develop public relations work to help strengthen the image and reputation of academic quality.
7. Build a network with other organizations to cooperate in the areas of academics, research, and human resources development.

Faculty Color
        The Faculty’s color is pink symbolizing the students’ technological and cultural progress thus making them modern, wise, and cosmopolitan.
