Background
      Burapha University (formerly Srinakharinwirot University) recognized the importance
of "Health for All by the Year 2000" and also a lack of nurses in Thailand. There fore, the
University established the Faculty of Nursing on June 8, 1982 and began teaching nursing
students at the undergraduate level in 1983. Since then, the Faculty of Nursing of
Burapha University has graduated more than 2,000 nurses to serve Thai society in both
the government and private sectors.

Departments
      The Faculty of Nursing is composed of 6 departments. They are:
      1. Department of Basic Science in Nursing
      2. Department of Community Nursing
      3. Department of Maternal and Child Health Nursing
      4. Department of Medical and Surgical Nursing
      5. Department of Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing
      6. Department of Research, Evaluation, and Nursing Administration
